Lyman 313445

The Lyman/ideal 313445 was designed as a semi-wadcutter for the .32 S&W long cartridge. It has a nice wide wadcutter shoulder that punches nice clean holes in paper, and an elongated nose that improves it’s accuracy beyond about 50 yards. The bullet weighs about 100 grains in most alloys, and is commonly sized to .313 for work in the .32 S&W long and .32 H&R magnum.

The 313492 mold is nearly identical, but without the extended nose, and as a result, weighs about 8 grains less.

Some reloaders report loading this as a plinking and small game bullet in .30 caliber rifle cartridges.

I have gotten good accuracy from this mold in .32 revolvers loaded over light to medium loads of fast pistol powder.

Available soft in 30-1 alloy at about 8 BHN or in our medium hardness alloy running about 13-14 BHN. sizing from .309-.314 and lubed or naked as desired.
